For Veterans
Any veteran, any branch, any era. If you served, you qualify. There is no cost to you — not for the stick, not for the shipping, not ever.
Apply for Your StickWho Qualifies
We don't ask about disability status, discharge type, or combat experience. Service is service.
Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Coast Guard, Space Force — all branches of U.S. military service.
Vietnam, Gulf War, Iraq, Afghanistan, peacetime service — your era of service doesn't matter. You served, you qualify.
The stick, the shipping, the certificate — all covered by donations. You will never pay a single dollar for this.
The Journey
Your application is reviewed within a week. We read every word — your service, your journey, what you shared about where you are now.
We match you with a guild carver whose style, background, and spirit fits what you shared. Many of our carvers are veterans themselves.
With your story in mind, your carver goes to the trail to find the right piece of wood. They're not looking for just any branch — they're looking for yours.
We send you progress photos as your stick is carved. You'll see the face emerge from the wood before it ever arrives at your door.
Your stick ships with a certificate: its name, its virtues, the story of the wood, and a personal note from your carver. Lead time is typically 6–10 weeks from approval.
The Application
This isn't a form — it's a conversation. The more you share, the more your stick will mean. There are no wrong answers. Take your time.
This is the most important part of the application. Your carver will read every word before picking up a single tool.
Your carver will make the final call based on your story, but we'll pass any preferences along.
Veterans who share inspire other veterans to apply. Your story could be the reason someone else takes the next step.
We review every application personally and respond within 7 days. No automated rejections — every story gets read.
Thank you for trusting us with your story. We'll read every word.
Expect to hear from us within 7 days. In the meantime — keep walking.
